Thousands of demonstrators against Brazil in World Cup bid



Thousands of demonstrators protested across Brazil on Saturday against the host country for the World Cup in June and clashed with police , according to local media .

Police used rubber bullets to quell the unrest also arrested more than a hundred demonstrators . And destroyed masked members of the so-called movement of "Black Block " or " black bloc " bank branches and set fire to cars.

They distributed leaflets that read : "The rights were not there , there will be no World Cup." In Rio de Janeiro , the site that will host the final match in the 2014 World Cup , hundreds of protesters in a peaceful march along Copacabana beach promenade , demanding more investment in education and health infrastructure .

And came out during the Confederations Cup last June estimated one million people to the streets of Brazil to protest the corruption and mismanagement of state resources .
